DR. Alexis Elias-Spohn, DPT

Dr. Alexis Elias-Spohn is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Owner of Empower Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy located at Cary Integrative Health in Cary, North Carolina.

She attended Kent State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology, and then graduated with her Master's of Physical Therapy from Youngstown State University before continuing on to Chatham University for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Dr. Elias-Spohn started her career in 2007 working in orthopedics in Ohio, with a variety of patient clientele. She relocated to the Triangle in 2018 with her husband and two children.  It was then that she began to focus her career on pelvic floor rehabilitation because she found it fascinating and underutilized.  After struggling with her own pelvic pain post birth, she found Pelvic PT beneficial, and knew she needed to know more. It was the spark that ignited her passion for pelvic floor health and the importance of listening to women and combating the misinformation given to them surrounding pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and their bladder, bowel, and sexual function.  She has also trained to be a birth doula, to add to her practice and fully encompass treatment of women throughout the course of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Dr. Andrew Owen, DC

As a chiropractor, my goal for each patient is to tailor a treatment plan for their specific needs in order to help them achieve their short and long term health goals. These goals are achieved using various treatment techniques.  In addition to the main staple of chiropractic, spinal and extraspinal adjustments, we also utilize a host of complementary techniques including soft tissue massage, physical therapy modalities such as ultrasound and cold laser, assisted stretching, and monitored active care exercise. I want all my patients to know that I am here to listen and to help them get relief from pain.

Nutritional Cooking

Dietitians plan food and nutrition programs and supervise the preparation and serving of meals. They help prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and suggesting diet modifications.

Dietitians can work with individual clients to develop customized diets and meal plans as part of their overall health care. This involves coordinating with clients’ caregivers to make sure the plan is appropriate for the individual’s health care needs.

Dr. Arthi Khazanchi, FMD

As practitioners, we must go beyond what traditional medicine has to offer. Modern day health is wholisitic- whole mind, whole spirit, whole life. Traditional medicine does very well with acute problems. Somewhere down the line we figured out chronic issues can’t just be band aided.

We at Ananda embrace the uniqueness of a child and employ a system based medical approach that works to identify and understand the underlying root causes of a health problem. The relationship between your child and Dr. Arthi effectively is a partnership. Every aspect of your child's history is reviewed in detail recognizing him/her as a distinct individual rather than the disease.

A licensed acupuncturist who takes each patient and develops an individual plan to help combat any issues that patient may be experiencing. Using an integrative approach, this is achieved by focusing on the patient as a whole and finding the root cause, allowing for relief not only in physical health and pain management, but also treating mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

Carolyn byrd, LMBT, Coach

I help individuals live their best life! Through Habit and Health coaching I guide clients through breaking "unachievable" goals into small steps and supporting them through the tricky process of reframing beliefs and behaviors to make their dreams, reality.  Through Massage Therapy, Yoga and Fitness design I assist clients in decreasing pain by relieving and correcting damaging postural and movement patterns.
